QUEST · A HERO WITHIN
Will you prove you have a hero within?A Hero Within
Stand with Sir Garahn and Astrid against endless waves of orks. Switch heroes, unleash your spirit magic and keep a Platypus Pie handy. How far can you get through Dropbear Forest?
Auto adapts to small touchscreens. Your choice stays on this device; changing it never restarts the adventure.
Sir Garahn: heavy sword swings, broad attacks and stronger knockback. Astrid: one dagger, faster strikes and recovery, and a 10-metre combat roll on clear ground (slightly farther with Charge & Roll Mastery; older earned travel bonuses are retained). Obstacles and forest boundaries safely shorten either hero’s dash.
Touch screens: use the left movement joystick, optional right camera joystick and labelled ability buttons. Tap Jump twice, then Attack to slam; tap Switch to change heroes.
Drop Bears hurt everyone—including you. From wave 4, watch claw-marked trees for shaking branches and listen for a scream. Get out of the gold landing circle: their fall damages and knocks back nearby heroes and orks. Decorative trees do not summon bears.
Wom-bats are friendly, untargetable flying wombats. Watch for their berry deliveries. Walk near a landed berry to draw it in gently; grab it before it disappears.
Bushland Allies upgrades: At the Campfire Store, improve wombat visits, berry duration and potency, or Drop Bear damage and occasional double attacks. Reinforced Armour also protects against Drop Bear impacts. Each extra bear gets its own warning circle.
Temporary effects show their remaining time above the battlefield. Platypus Pies restore health; carry them from the store and press H when you need one.
Watch attack warnings, then exploit recovery time. Mini-bosses have a large health bar and a green compass dot. This roster is drawn from the current game’s enemy definitions.
Autosaves run every 20 seconds and when you pause. Guests save on this device; signed-in players save to their account. Use Save before closing; check that saving succeeds.

Use WASD to move and Arrow keys to look around (50° sideways, 12° tilt). Release to centre. On mobile, drag the left MOVE joystick to move and the smaller right LOOK joystick to look; hide it in Pause settings. Camera controls never aim attacks or change movement. Progressive road speed adds 1% per cleared wave, capped at 20% on desktop and 15% on mobile; turn it off in Pause to restore base travel speed. Press C to jump, quickly press C again to double jump, then Space while airborne for a ground slam. On touch screens, tap Jump twice, then Attack. Explore up to about 16 metres beyond either road edge; dense undergrowth marks the limit. Press W to travel deeper along the endlessly continuing forest road. The mist closes completed stretches behind you; you can still dodge and reposition within the current battle area. The heroes gently travel forward while the road is clear and hold their ground when danger is close. After every wave, a magical campfire appears beside the heroes. Click its prompt or press B to shop. Opening the store pauses the five-second countdown; closing it resumes the remaining time. One extra enemy entrance unlocks every fifth wave and remains available. Platypi Village supplies its famous emblem-stamped pies; Garahn wears the crocodile-inspired armour of Cro’cosis. Garahn carries Valorous, the legendary sword that shines for the worthy. His spirit animal is the crocodile; Astrid’s is the platypus. At wave 3, E calls their spirit magic into battle.
Wom-bats are wombats with bat wings. They flutter beside the road and cannot be targeted. Watch the branches for drop bears: grumpy, fanged koalas. Wom-bats are harmless. From wave 4, a drop bear may shake its branch and scream before leaping into a gold warning circle. Dodge its landing! Later waves bring more frequent ambushes, always one at a time. It can bowl over orks too.
Wom-bats occasionally deliver magical berries. Orange Growth Berries briefly enlarge their collector, improving damage, reach and resistance to being pushed. Check the timer above the battlefield. Jump & Ground Slam Mastery in the Character store upgrades both heroes through five levels: higher jumps, stronger slams and wider shockwaves. The double-jump slam remains a passive combo with its existing cooldown. Shared Spirit, Tempest and Charge & Roll Mastery upgrades strengthen both heroes with one purchase. Charge & Roll Mastery has five levels; each upgrade adds one metre of travel, up to four extra metres. Tempest upgrades add up to one second of spin duration; move at 70% speed and press another attack to cancel. Astrid finishes her roll with one forward stab, one backward stab, then a spinning kick. A well-placed reverse strike earns bonus backstab damage. Claw-marked trunks are real Drop Bear trees; nearby berries drift gently towards you. The live compass shows reachable enemies (red) and bosses (green).
Two fighting styles: Sir Garahn has broader swings, wider crocodile magic and heavier knockback. Astrid strikes and rolls faster, recovers quickly and fires platypus magic in a rapid three-hit volley. Shared upgrades strengthen both heroes. United Strike stays the same whichever hero you select.
Ork field notes: swordsmen are steady; twin-blade runners are quick; axes hit hard; hammers have long wind-ups; the Bo Staff Ork spins a double-ended wooden staff. Step outside the warning ring before a heavy attack lands.
Adjust each volume separately; these settings stay on this device. Subtitles remain visible when dialogue is muted. Choose the voices that best suit your device. Horizons provides the adaptive soundtrack. Recorded Astrid and narrator lines play where supplied; unrecorded dialogue uses the selected speech voices. Sound effects and grunts share the effects volume.
